Plane lands on its belly in Romania - Kansas City Star

[Kansas City Star: Breaking News] The Saab 2000 aircraft was carrying 47 passengers and four crew members on its flight from the Moldovan capital, Chisinau, to Timisoara, airport spokeswoman Carmen Stoica said. Romanian border police, who deal with international customs, said the plane was carrying 11, Romanians, 23 Moldovans, nine Italians, two Greeks and two Germans.

FDI Investment in Romania Continues to Grow | Nubricks

[Overseas Property Investment Blog | Nubricks] Traditionally one of Europe’s poorest countries, Romania’s salaries are increasing in leaps and bounds. According to government statistics, gross average wages in December were 9.7% higher than those in the previous month’s and year-on-year figures show a salary increase of a massive 17.6%.

Romania Eyeing 1.8 Bln In Energy Investments :: BalkanInsight.com

[BalkanInsight.com] Last October, the former government cleared a bill that sets up an integrated energy holding - called Electrica - which was supposed to incorporate Romania's three remaining electricity distributors, hydro power producer Hidroelectrica and two major lignite-fired energy firms. The holding was planned to have an installed capacity of 10,000 MW and an estimated value of Euro 24 billion.

Hiking, Identity, and Criticism

[Seriously Romania] Yesterday I hiked with a friend to Cabana Postavarul, up at 1600 meters. The day was cold, clear, and sunny. The trail took us through fir tree glades that seemed remote from any world I’ve been to. The trees were laden–this is most definitely the word for it–laden with snow, as if some child’s dream of Christmas had been perfectly rendered into a real forest. Sometimes when the sun came through the trees, I’d see fine clouds of snow dusting off branches and suddenly catching the light. On the way I saw only one piece of litter (picked it up to carry out of the woods) and I heard no people other than my friend.

really hungry - Brasov, Romania

[TravelPod.com Recent Updates] The next day I went hiking to a large castle in the middle of the woods about 9km from the town, there was not another person around so I had the place to myself it was interesting and creepy all at the same time. The next day it was off to see what is commonly thought to be the famous Dracula's castle, there is some debate if it is or not, after seeing the place I have my doubts it was way to pretty to have guys impaled on the front lawn, I can't see the master of evil sitting out in the elaborate tea room pruning the flower garden, now I could be wrong but I just don't see it.
