 [Oradea 2008] Thank God For Pictures”¦: Next week sometime, we will begin volunteering at a preschool in a gypsy village outside Oradea, the city we are in. We may be able to get rides there with someone who works there who drops his daughters off at a nearby pentecostal .

 [Adventuers of an American Vagabond] Easter, Egypt and Simleau: I tried to leave Oradea on that Monday so I could have all day Tuesday to putz around and get packed, but when we went to the bus station I was informed that no more busses were going to Zalău that day. I could have taken a train to Cluj and then spent the night at Steve and Scott’s, but I decided just to hang around Oradea for one more day.

[The Long Road Home] Transylvania: It’s quite easy - hills, but nothing like turkey, never mind NW china etc. These are wooded gentle hills, mild hairpins from time to time, nothing drastic.

 [Joshua - Peace Corps Romania] Vacation: I ended up meeting up with the Romanian Girls one day and followed them around while they bought new pants and perfume. I hit it off with one of them and was totally excited because I thought I was going to have this beautiful girl to hang out with in Paris but the next night we were all supposed to meet under the Eiffel Tower but they never showed.

 [Adventuers of an American Vagabond] Monster update: We found out once on the train that the lady had sold us round-trip tickets, thus making them cost twice as much and they both went to Oradea. So I could either buy another ticket and get into Cluj at midnight, at which point I’d have to take a taxi to Steve and Scott’s apartment for the night, or get out in Oradea and spend the night at John’s.
