[Mark Mardell | The Reporters] BBC - Mark Mardell's Euroblog: Ring out the old: 2 attempt successful, if not to count that he went under ice in the Ladoga lake, eventually got to the shore on a floating trunk with clothes, and then post war my grandma (evacuated later and separately, as "un-working woman") and grandfather searched for him in all the orphanages of the USSR.
[www.PerryMarshall.com] Merry Christmas and the Dance of Equality, Technology and Spirituality: I find that I do this more now as I'm connected with staff in the Philippines, a php programmer in Shanghai and a Wordpress developer in Pakistan. I believe that the technology we use and especially the Internet is helping to not only make the world seem smaller but for freedom and equality to spread to others that have not known it before in their homelands.
[Making Light] Making Light: Open thread 109: Soon Lee 788: Much as I've pronounced things vile or wonderful in absolute terms elsewhere (including elsewhere in this very comment), in all seriousness I think it's a matter of taste, and if you don't like it, there's no way to explain it so that you will, or even so that you'll understand why we do. I could go on and on about how its presence "enhances the flavor of other ingredients" or some such thing, but I honestly doubt it would help.
[Ross Mathews-BLOGtastic!] NBC.com > Ross Mathews - BLOGtastic!: Hey Ross, Hope your Monday is going good for you and you're staying out of the rain, I'm shocked its raining too, how rare for us in Cali. Well I have one of those folding things and I'm not sure what a inward twist is either, but when you fold it, its not going to be a perfect circle, it will be crooked, but there is a strap on one of the sides when you fold the shade, use that so it doesn't pop back out of place.
[The British National Party News] The British National Party: I for one am not surprised.Should you cast your mind back to just before Christmas of 2006 our very own Mr Bean[I mean Brown] went to China to do business on behalf of this countries Companies.A short time after our newspapers were showing photographs of a very large ship and reporting the vast array and large volumes of products manufactured in china and being imported for sale in this country. Now, just a short time ago Mr Sarkozy of France visited China and when he came back the French and our own newspapers reported that he had come back from China with orders worth billions of euros to France and its businesses. You see, Sarkozy loves his country and Brown despises everything about Britain particularly the English.Brown has not had any proper work experience as he has never had a proper job and the nearest experience to business is that his wife has her own company and I understand that is only in P.R.He has no financial experience as can be seen from his incompetence and mismanagement of the economy. The sad thing is that Brown appears to be quite a great deal short of grey matter, this can adequately be shown every week at prime ministers question time when he tells the country how well off we are and how low inflation is etc surely not the comments made by a sane man.Dont think that Mr Cameron will do any better ,here we have a young man again with no work experience [proper job]not willing to answer questions about certain periods of his life and more concerned about his appearance than this country.Neither men are qualified or suitable to run this country. If I was a human resource officer and was given the challenge to find both men a job I would place Brown in the position of a missionary to Africa. For Cameron the only job suitable would be as a second hand car salesman. It is of course doubtful whether either would find employment, maybe that is why they keep up such generous benefits to all and sundry.

[Roger Ebert's Journal] Roger Ebert's Journal: Roger Ebert: July 2009 Archives: Where is the fear of a large all-powerful federal government (which a true conservative would detect when examining the ludicrous and ultimately self-defeating policies of both the so-called "war on terror" and "war on drugs")? Where is the conservative who is against the violation of civil liberties (a true conservative would see the outlawing of same-sex marriage as a violation of said liberties, just as the true conservatives of the past were against slavery or any other form of rights-violation)?
